PURPOSE:To manufacture a formed body for parts of highest strength, by applying solution heat treatment, cold working, and annealing to a rolled plate of Be-Cu alloy having a specific composition containing Be, Ni, and Co and subjecting the above to forming and then to age hardening treatment. CONSTITUTION:The rolled plate of a Be-Cu alloy consisting of, by weight, 0.2-0.8% Be, 0.3-4.0% Ni and/or Co, and the balance essentially Cu is subjected to solution heat treatment and then to cold working at >=20% draft. Successively, the above alloy material is annealed at 250-550 deg.C to undergo recovery of formability. The resulting Be-Cu alloy material is further subjected to workings including bending so as to be formed into the desired parts shape. Then, this formed body is aged at 350-500 deg.C. In this way, the formed body for parts composed of Cu-alloy material having high strength and minimal in deformation can be economically obtained.
