The rotary plough has a plough frame with a swivel mounted support arm which at the end remote from the support arm axle has a rotatable support wheel (18). The length of the support arm (10) between the support wheel axle (16) and the support arm axle (22) can be loosely varied between two end positiones defined by stops (26,28). The distance between the two stops can be adjustable and the stops themselves can be adjusted independently of each other. As the plough frame is lowered the support arm moves against the working direction towards the associated stop on the plough frame without relatively high forces acting on thesupport wheel.
