A portable unit for supplying coating material under pressure to an airless spraygun 62 comprises a platform 13 having a first portion to receive a coating material container 14 and a second portion to receive a solvent container 15, a pump unit 30 having a drive motor 66 and a pump 54 therebelow for supplying coating material and solvent from the respective containers to gun 62, means for supporting the pump unit in a first position in which the pump is in the coating material container and in a second position in which it is in said solvent container and means for enabling the pump unit to be moved from one of the positions to the other. The pump unit is preferably mounted on a support stem 28 and is guided there on by rollers such that it can be raised on the stem from one position of the pump, turned on the stem, and lowered into the other position of the pump. Means may be provided for maintaining the pump in its raised position. Pump 54 is preferably of a piston type operated directly from a piston type hydraulic motor 66 in a hydraulic system pressurised by a pump driven by an electric motor. The motor may also drive a fan for cooling the fluid in the hydraulic system.</p> |
