Cleaning device for contact lenses

In order to facilitate manipulation, a cleaning device for contact lenses is proposed which has a container for receiving a cleaning solution, and a cover which can be placed on an opening of the container, has a transmission and is subdivided via the transmission into mutually rotatable upper and lower parts of the cover. The upper part of the cover is connected to a shaft which engages in the container and is in contact with a contact lens carrier which is permeable to the cleaning solution. The contact lens carrier 2 is suitable for receiving respectively one lens and has hinged covers pivotably mounted on a middle carrier part and situated opposite one another. Furthermore, the contact lens carrier is mounted on the shaft via a lens carrier holder, and the lens carrier holder has a joint for pivoting the contact lens carrier as a whole by 180 degrees.
