The invention relates to a frame structure by the post/crossmember construction method, in particular for facades, roofs or the like, composed of post profiles (1), of crossmember profiles (2) which extend transversely thereto and have glass panes (3) or the like inserted in them, and of covering profiles (4) which cover the pane borders on the outer side and are screw-connected to the post profiles and crossmember profiles (1, 2). Insulating profiles (7 and 7') are provided in each case between the covering profiles (4) and the post and crossmember profiles (1, 2), and the insulating profiles (7) assigned to the crossmember profiles (2) are supported by metallic safety bolts (8) which project into the crossmember profiles (2) and are at least partially in connection with one another by virtue of a metallic supporting element. In order to facilitate the handling of the supporting element and to avoid any possible deformations of the insulating profile, the invention proposes that the supporting element be composed of at least one supporting bridge (10) which is arranged above the insulating profile (7) and is supported on the safety bolts (8) by means of protrusions (11) located on its underside, and that cutouts (12) be provided in the insulating profile (7) in order to receive the protrusions (11) (see Figure 1). <IMAGE>
