A clutch has a hollow body (10), in which a piston (35) can be displaced between a position of engagement and a position of disengagement, and a lubricant and/or coolant circuit which supplies the friction discs (44). Arranged in the inlet for the supply of the lubricant and/or coolant circuit (70) are shut-off means (75) which are controlled by a piston (35) and shut off the circuit (70) when the piston (35) is in the disengaged position. Also provided is a hydraulically operated drag-action brake (85), the control flow of which is taken from the lubricant and/or coolant by branching it off in alternation with the shut-off means (75). The area of application of the invention is, particularly, in hydraulically operated clutches for a power take-off shaft of towing vehicles (tractors). <IMAGE>
