PURPOSE:To invariably display data of a correct storage corrected by checking and correcting a sharp change in an electrical signal caused by a rapid movement of a liquid fuel in a device for detecting the storage of the liquid fuel using an electrostatic capacitance value. CONSTITUTION:A conductive electrode member 2 composing a detection capacitor 22 with a liquid fuel as dielectric body is provided in contact with the liquid fuel in a fuel tank 1. An electrical signal corresponding to an electrostatic capacitance from the conductive electrode member 2 is outputted from an electrical signal generation means 3 and indicated on a proper display means 4 as storage of the liquid fuel. A sharp change in the electrical signal caused by a rapid movement of the liquid fuel in the fuel tank 1 is corrected by a correction control means 5 thereby invariably enabling the indication of a correct storage. |
