摘要 The generation of the gas ozone is performed by nonindependent electrical discharges between 2 electrodes in air or pure oxygen. The transition to independent discharge (arcing) prevents using an insulating layer of glass in the case of many devices. The invention makes it possible for the ozone generator to be of a smaller design and more efficient, because a converter with a high-frequency rectangular current can reverse the charge of the capacitance of the ozone generator faster. Furthermore, the invention offers the advantage of infinitely variable controllability of the power consumption and a current consumption from the supply system which is lower by a factor of 2 or more. In contrast to other methods, virtually no reactive power is drawn from the supply system.
