A device for continuously supplying liquid or viscous media, in particular lubricants, comprises a receptacle (1) subdivided, by means of a separating element (7) or similar, into a chamber (8) for receiving the medium and into a pressurized gas chamber (9), and also comprises a cell (19, 20) arranged in an insert (17). Said cell (19, 20) serves for the electrochemical production of a gas, which is fed into the pressurized gas chamber (9) so as to create a pressure which moves the separating element (7), and thus forces the medium out of the chamber (8). In order to prevent the ingress of harmful substances into the insert and to avoid accidental closure of the circuit, a valve (30) closed in relation to the outside atmosphere and opening when the insert (17) is inserted in the cover (2) of the receptacle is arranged in the pressurized gas outlet channel (33) in the insertion (17).
