(8C max), or CH2C6H5 or CH(C6H5)2 or C(C6H5)3 is prepd. from an (ar)alkoxy-amine and a substd. 2,6-di:nitro-chloro-benzene. Cpds. of general formula (I) are highly efficient herbicides.
