摘要 A method for stabilising the frequency of a laser diode, in which the temperature of the housing (12) of the laser diode (8) is measured and is kept constant for heat supply or dissipation. When the current which is required to operate the laser diode (8) is switched on, the current intensity is slowly increased from an initial value to a required value. The actual temperature (12) of the housing of the laser diode (8) is changed as a function of the current intensity supplied to the laser diode (8), in such a manner that the laser diode (8) emits light at a constant wavelength at any desired current intensity. The temperature control of the laser diode (8) is carried out in accordanc with the current intensity, by means of a stabilisation factor alpha = d lambda /(di)/d lambda /(dT). The method is also used in the event of voltage or temperature fluctuations after reaching the operating conditions of the laser diode (8). <IMAGE>
