PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit small in circuit scale by using a multiplier, a subtractor and an adder to constitute the clip circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input signal Sin is multiplied by (l) at an arithmetic unit 1 and a level inputting a 0 value is subtracted when the signal Sin takes a value set by a clip setting device 2. On the other hand, the signal Sin is compared with a value set by the device 2 by a signal quantity comparator 3 and a 0-level output is selected by the signal switch 4 in case of signal Sin< the setting value and the output signal of the arithmetic unit 1 is selected in case of Sin> the setting value. The output signal of the device 4 is added to the output of the arithmetic unit 6 multiplying the signal Sin by (m) at the arithmetic unit 7 to obtain the output signal. By overlapping several stages of the processing unit similar to the unit 8, the signal clip having several clip points is applied. |
