<p>The invention relates to the coating of the electrodes of a lightning arrester. The aim of the invention is to produce a lightning arrester which operates equally well in the light or in darkness and which does not contain any radioactive elements. This aim is achieved with a composition (4) for coating the electrodes (2) of a lightning arrester, characterised in that it comprises at least aluminium, titanium and a product of the type MA or (M<n+>, A<n->) in which M represents an alkaline earth metal, A a sulphate or a carbonate of this metal, and n is equal to 1 or 2. The invention finds a preferable application in the coating of the electrodes of miniature or three-pole lightning arresters. <IMAGE></p> |
