A turbine wheel of a gas turbine, in which a wavy rotor (1), the outer circumferential surface of which consists of a series of alternating mountain portions (1a) and valley portions (1b), is sandwiched at its both side surfaces between a pair of discs (6), the diameter of which is larger than that of the rotor, with wings (4) fixed in the positions above the mountain portions of the rotor by the two discs, whereby combustion gas ejection ports (7) are defined by the inner circumferential surfaces of the wings and the mountain portions of the rotor. The front edge of each wing is made round, and the tail portion thereof thin and bent in the radial direction of the turbine wheel. This enables a combustion gas discharged from each ejection port to effectively impinge upon the rotor and rotate the rotor wheel, whereby the energy of the combustion gas is converted efficiently into rotational energy. |
