PURPOSE:To form a transparent recording layer excellent in ink adsorbing activity and having good water resistance, by using a polyvinyl acetal resin obtained by reacting aldehyde with polyvinyl alcohol as a resin for a recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:Polyvinyl alcohol to be generally used has a polymerization degree of 300-4,500 and has such a tendency that ink fixability and water resistance becomes well as the polymerization degree becomes high. As aldehyde condensing with polyvinyl alcohol, when aromatic aldehyde such as benzaldehyde or 2-methylbenzaldehyde, further, aromatic aldehyde having a substituent such as hydroxyl group or an alkoxy group provided to the aromatic ring thereof or the like are used, ink fixability, water resistance and transparency become well. Further, the acetylation degree of polyvinyl acetal is generally within a range of 2-40mol.%. A resin solution is applied to a support such as a film made of polyester or polyvinyl chloride, a glass plate or paper and subsequently dried. |
