PURPOSE:To send a bit of character information or the like by providing alphabetic and 50-sound buttons in addition to 12 buttons such as 0-9 and *, #. CONSTITUTION:For example, alphabetical buttons such as A-Z are provided in addition to symbolic buttons of *, # and 0-9 as the operating buttons of a telephone set. By such a constitution when the operator depresses either of the buttons 1, a change is detected by a button detection circuit 2 and its detection signal is sent to a originating circuit 4 via a data bus 3. The dialing circuit generates 100 kinds of combined signals depending on the combination of high and low groups. The generated signal is sent to an exchange main body through a communication line 5.
