PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of the welding by providing a central core of metal such as W, Ta, etc., with low wettability with respect to metals to be welded to the tip part of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:The metal made of W, Mo, Ta, Ta-carbide or Ti-nitride is arranged to the tip of an electrode chip 1 for the spot welding as the central core 3. Since the central core 3 is constituted of the metal with the extremely low wettability with respect to surface treated metal or the metals to be welded, the metals to be welded and the surface treated metal are not stuck to the tip of the electrode chip 1. Accordingly, the tip of the electride chip 1 is always kept clean and the necessity to polish the tip part is remarkably reduced. By this method, the working efficiency of the spot welding is improved. |
