PURPOSE:To prevent magnetic flux leakage to provide a high-output machine by inserting a permanent magnet into a fitting slot opened in the sheet members of a yoke. CONSTITUTION:The yoke of a motor for a starter is formed by laminating the necessary number of thin steel sheet members 2 punched and formed in specified shapes. The sheet members 2 have the same number of fitting slots 2a for fitting a permanent magnet 3 as the number of poles, and the dimension of the fitting slots 2a corresponds to that of the permanent magnet 3, and the radial dimension is contrived to correspond to the thickness of the permanent magnet 3. When the permanent magnet 3 is inserted and fitted into the fitting slots 2a, then a hollow section is formed on one side and a neutral zone S is formed, and an auxiliary magnetic pole is formed at a sheet member section 2b set between the neutral zone S and the permanent magnet 3. Then, a special- purpose auxiliary magnetic pole is not needed, and the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 3 can be prevented from being leaked out.
