PURPOSE:To obtain a carrying device, capable of levitating without making contact, with a simple structure, by a method wherein magnets are arranged on a moving table and a fixed base so that the same polarities of the magnets are opposed to each other while the yokes of magnetic poles are arranged at the lower part of the moving table and the fixed base opposing to the moving table. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 2a, 2b are attached to the lower part of both ends of a moving table 1. Square type yokes 3a, 3b for magnetic poles are provided at the central lower part of the moving table 1. The permanent magnets 4a, 4b, having opposite polarities to the permanent magnets 2a, 2b, are arranged at positions opposing the permanent magnets 2a, 2b on both side surfaces of a fixed side guide base 5. The yokes 6a, 6b of magnetic poles of the fixed side are arranged at the central part of the base 5 of the fixed side guide. The moving table 1 is levitated by repulsive forces between the permanent magnets 4a, 4b and the permanent magnets 2a, 2b while a yawing with respect to a running direction may be regulated by attracting forces between the yokes 3a, 3b of the magnetic poles and the yokes 6a, 6b of the magnetic poles of fixed side.
