<p>A sealed-battery arrangement serving as a battery set, has a structure comprising a rack formed of a least two columns (2) interconnected by cross-beams, a plurality of supports (3a, 3b) attached to the columns and a plurality of sealed-battery units (1) carried by the frames, respectively. The supports are shaped and arranged such that the battery units placed thereon are inclined with the terminals thereof being directing upwardly at a certain angle of inclination. This arrangement has various advantages; the amount of materials required to support the batteries is minimised; since the batteries can be placed at an angle on their respective supports as described, handling is facilitated, for example, when their terminals are interconnected or the voltage across the terminals is measured. Due to the shape of the rack and supports, vibration-resistance of the arrangement is enhanced.</p> |
