PURPOSE:To obtain good color developability, raw preservability and the stability of a developed color image, by using aryloxy fatty acid ester of polyhydric alcohol in a recording material using a leuco dye and an electron acceptive compound. CONSTITUTION:As polyhydric alcohol, a compound represented by formula 1 (wherein R1 is -CH2-, -C2H4-, or -CH2OCH2-) and having 1-0 ether group of 10C or less is especially pref. used. As aryloxy fatty acid, a compound represented by formula 3 (wherein Ar is a monocyclic or polycyclic 5-7- membered aromatic ring which may contain a hetero atom, n is an integer of 8 or less, m is an integer of 16 or less and an aryl group is a benzene ring, a furan ring or a naphthalene group. n is pref. 1 or 2) is pref. Useful aryoxy fatty acid ester of polyhydric alcohol to be pref. used has water solubility of 20 or less and m.p. of 20-160 deg.C and, concretely, phenoxyacetic acid, chlorophenoxyacetic acid or the like are designated. |
