PURPOSE:To improve efficiency, and to miniaturize an ultrasonic motor by forming a slit from one surface of a stator, shaping a contact surface at a stepped section, forming a recessed section in the side face of the stator and fast sticking and fixing a piezoelectric element to the recessed section. CONSTITUTION:With an ultrasonic motor, piezoelectric elements 1 conducting vibrations in the thickness direction or the longitudinal direction are fast stuck and fastened onto the upper and lower surfaces of recessed sections 8 in side faces partitioned by slits 12 shaped from one surface of a stator 2. A rotor 3 is mounted to the stator 2 as the state of pressure is left as it is by a machine screw 7 through a bearing 4, a washer 5, a spring 6, etc., on the surface, to which the slits 12 are formed, in the stator 2. Stepped sections 11 are shaped besides the slits 12 to the stator 2, and contact surfaces 10 are formed. Accordingly, when voltage is applied to the piezoelectric elements 1 and the elements 1 are driven, the stator 2 conducts flexural vibrations by the slits 12 and a vector is shaped in the contact surfaces 10, and the rotor 3 is turned. |
