PURPOSE:To make waveform measurement efficient and to facilitate its automation by constituting a waveform measuring circuit by using a reference signal output circuit and a timer difference detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The time difference detecting circuit 5 inputs a reference signal 4 and a signal 2 to be measured and detects the signal to be measured exceeding a reference potential after the reference signal exceeds the reference potential, thereby outputting a detection signal 6. The reference signal output circuit 3 consists of a flip-flop circuit 31 which is initialized with an initial signal 1 and set with the signal 2 to be measured, and a resistance 32 and a capacitor 33 for setting the leading time and trailing time of the waveform of the reference signal 4. When the signal 2 to be measured exceeds a threshold voltage at time t1, the flip-flop circuit 31 is set and a reference signal 4 is generated which has a waveform set by the resistance 32 and capacitor 33. The risetime of the waveform of a digital signal is converted into whether or not there is a detection signal or pulse width. The falltime is the same.
