In an information directory and retrieval system, information to be retrieved being composed of data which are registered in one or a plurality of fields 6-8 for a specific item and a field 10 for general purposes, data with an identifier (e.g #) attached thereto denotes that the data relating to the specific item data (e.g. 8) is registered in the field 10 for general purposes. The data with the identifier attached thereto is treated as data on the specific item at the time of retrieving, and is retrieved collectively with the retrieval of the field of the specific item, thereby increasing the speed of retrieval. <IMAGE> |
