PURPOSE:To enable a proofreader to easily collate a character face with an original by providing a flag to a word dictionary for homonym together with a flag detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The flag is added to the homonym in a word dictionary 20 which is used to add a reading to a document. A flag detecting circuit 14 can detect the word bearing said flag when an input document is divided into words with reference to the dictionary 20. The read-out action of a voice synthesizing part 16 is stopped temporarily by the output of the circuit 14 and the relevant word is displayed on a display 24 with inversion or in a color or the like so that it can be distinguished from other displays. Thus a proofreader 30 can easily confirm the character face on the display 24 and therefore can easily perform collation of character face with an original. |
