PURPOSE:To enable memory capacity to be saved, by manufacturing NLQROMAN super and subscript font data from NLQROMAN font data. CONSTITUTION:NLQROMAN super and subscript characters of longitudinal, for instance, 12 dot structure are manufactured from NLQROMAN characters of longitudinal 18 dot structure. In the figure, a white dot represents a dot to be printed on the first pass and a black dot represents a dot to be printed on the second pass. Further, each dot is converted to a dot compressed to two/ thirds as given in the formula. For instance, in order to manufacture a printing data on the first pass of super and subscripts of NLQROMAN, the printing data on the first pass of NLQROMAN is converted by two/thirds. Further, a logical sum of the printing data on the second pass converted by two/thirds is taken to manufacture a data of a white dot. Furthermore, since generated data which are laterally adjacent to each other are not required, the adjacent data are masked. |
