A fastener for mounting inside a blind hole 2 provided in a support 1, has a pin-shaped hollow body 3 provided with at least one axial slot 4 and to which a component 5 is attached to limit insertion of the body 3 into the hole. The diameter of the hollow body 3 in the unmounted state is greater than the diameter of the hole 2. The connection of the hollow body to the component is such that the hollow body exerts a substantially uniform force against the wall of the hole throughout the length of the hollow body inserted therein. The component 5 defines a space 7 to allow the slot 4 to extend out of the hole.
