<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of malfunction when a module is removed, by a method wherein an air bag module is provided with an auxiliary source circuit, connected in parallel to an inflator functioning circuit, and an invalidating device, invalidating function an actuating circuit during closing of a deceleration sensing switch. CONSTITUTION:An air bag module M, mounted to a steering wheel W, has an inflator I, rapidly feeding high pressure gas to an air bag A, and an actuating circuit C, actuating an ignition device 8 by means of a power fed from a main source circuit Em on the can body side. In this case, an auxiliary source circuit Es, to which a deceleration sensing switch S, closed when given deceleration is exerted on a car body, is connected in series, is situated in the actuating circuit C, and a circuit function stop device Ca, invalidating the function of the actuating circuit, is located in the circuit Es. The stop device Ca is formed such that an on-off switch SW1, closed during mounding of the module M to a steering wheel N and opened during demounting of it from the steering wheel, is connected in series to capacitor 10 and a resistor R1 in the auxiliary source circuit Es.</p> |
