Ribbon cable connector with user-defined electrical connection. Previously manufactured ribbon cable connectors which are assembled by a single push-in action only permit simple pin to pin connection. In many applications in the manufacture of cables it is desirable to be able to achieve complex connections and at the same time retain the advantages offered by push-in connection of ribbon cable connectors. This requirement has been solved by the terminals 2,3 of the ribbon cable connector being connected together via a removable control circuit 4 made of parallel electrically conductive planes or parallel circuit boards which can bring about a user-defined configurable conductive circuit by accumulation of their individual conductive functions. In spite of the cable's complicated circuit, all the leads of the ribbon cable are connected to the pins of the connector at the same time with a single push-in action without crossing or separation of the wires of the actual ribbon cable being carried out.
