<p>PURPOSE:To prevent any crack of a monolithic catalyst body at the time of setting it in a case, by knitting a metal fine line into a flat body, applying a waving process to it, and removing the initial settling with this wave height compressed. CONSTITUTION:A metal fine line is knitted into a flat body 1, then it is continuously transferred while doing a waving process with a pair of wavy rollers 2 and 3, and it is compressed by a pair of compression rollers 4 and 5 installed in the downstream. With this constitution, wave height to constant compressive load is made so as to become almost a constant state, whereby any crack at the time of setting a monolithic catalyst body 9 is a case 10 is thus preventable.</p> |
