PURPOSE:To attain high-accuracy positioning by restricting returning oil from a cylinder when an object is caused to move to a designated position, and closing a valve to seal high-pressure hydraulic fluid when the object reaches the designated position. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 4, restrictors 10, 11 for performing meter-out control, and check valves 6, 7 are provided within a hydraulic circuit. When an object is caused to move to a designated position, returning oil from a cylinder 2 is restricted by restrictors 10, 11 to cause a piston 3 to move using high- pressure hydraulic fluid, and when the object reaches the designated position, the solenoid valve 4 is closed to seal the high pressure hydraulic fluid within the cylinder. This constitution requires neither the re-injection of the high- pressure hydraulic fluid, nor the correction of possible displacement resulting from a prediction, thus enabling the positioning of the object to be performed in high accuracy.
