PURPOSE:To manufacture a driving shaft without using a cutter, at a low cost, and rapidly, by eliminating a plastic film covering the fitting surface of one member by means of utilization of the fitting to the other member. CONSTITUTION:Considering the thickness of a plastic film 4 to be left on a sliding surface between a spline shaft 2 and its counterpart yoke 6, a spline ditch is formed in the counterpart yoke 6 keeping some fitting clearance against the spline shaft 2 in advance. And by fitting the spline shaft 2 to the counterpart yoke 6, a part of the plastic film 4 is eliminated by the spline ditch of the yoke 6. Therefore, the a partial plastic film 4 is left in an adequate condition on the mutually sliding surface between the spline shaft and the yoke, and the driving shaft can be manufactured without using any cutter and at a low cost and rapidly.
