PURPOSE:To smoothly and stably carry a developing device in a prescribed carrying direction by providing a position reference member which controls the position of the developing device, which is loaded in a developing device storage device, in the direction of carrying to an image forming device body. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped position reference member 19 is provided in a developing device storage device B at right angles to the carrying direction of developing devices 2A-2C. Though a green developing device 2A is loaded in a developing device storage box 4a of the developing device storage device B obliquely to the carrying direction, the inclination of the green developing device 2A is corrected if the green developing device 2A is carried in the opposite direction to an image forming device body A by a second carrying means M2 after being loaded and is brought into contact with the position reference member 19. Thus, the developing device is always stably and smoothly carried.
