PURPOSE:To improve the convenience of getting on and off the vehicle by making only the upper side column tube movable inclined, to the lower column tube, as well as making the both column tubes movable inclined integrally to make the inclined movement rotation radius larger and to suppress the variation of the driving. CONSTITUTION:By pushing out a slider 20 toward a joint side and lower side column tubes 3 and 5 are at the condition of the smallest angle, a cam plate 14 is rotated clockwise linking to the movement of the slider 20, and the cam 14 itself is lifted up in the direction to increase the upward inclination angle of the lower tube 3 by a fixed side follower pin 25 which moves in an arc- formed part of a cam groove 22. By pushing out the slider 20 further and rotating the cam plate 22, the inclination angle of the upper side tube 5 is varied largely by gearing the variable side follower pin 26 to an arc-formed part 23b of the cam grove 23, as well as the pin 25 is geared with an arc-formed part 22a of the groove 22 making the variation of the inclination angle of the lower side tube almost zero. |
