PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound for an electric charge generator for electrophotography using semiconductor laser as a light source, showing sufficient sensitivity in a wide wavelength range and enough durability by using the compound as an electric charge generator, providing specific diffraction light peaks. CONSTITUTION:The aimed compound providing strong diffraction light peaks by the use of CuKalpha radiation of lambda=1.5418 A.U. at 2theta+ or -0.2 deg.=9.2 deg., 13.1 deg., 20.7 deg., 26.2 deg. and 27.1 deg.. This compound is obtained by reacting o-phthalonitrile with pyridinium salt of titanium tetrachloride or oxidizing chlorotitanium phthalocyanine to synthesize oxytitanium phthalocyanine and treating the oxytitanium phthalocyanine with a solvent such as toluene, xylene or chloroform. |
