PURPOSE:To easily qualify irregular modification reception and facilitate the control of processings by sharing an evaluation value with respect to the peculiarity of modification reception and that with respect to the intimateness of modification reception. CONSTITUTION:An evaluation processing part for modification reception peculiarity 2 using an evaluation dictionary for modification reception peculiarity 6 obtains the presence and absence of modification reception between clauses from a Japanese sentence which is inputted from an input device 1 and which has been word-divided. If modification reception is realized, the evaluation values of the attribute and the peculiarity of modification reception are obtained. An evaluation processing part for modification reception intimateness 3 using an evaluation dictionary for modification reception intimateness 7 obtains the evaluation value of intimateness between the clauses in which modification reception realize. A qualification processing part for modification reception 4 decides the pattern of modification reception with respect to the inputted sentence, and calculates the evaluation values of respective modification patterns based on two kinds of evaluation values. The results are outputted from an output device 5 in the order of the evaluation values.
