PURPOSE:To permit development with alkaline water and to improve workability, sensitivity and image quality by using a photocrosslinkable polymer which is soluble in the alkaline water and contains a photodimerizable group of a cinnamate type and alkali soluble carboxylic acid group and specific photosensitizer. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. contains the photocrosslinkable polymer which is added with active mercaptocarboxylic acid in part of the carbon-carbon unsatd. bond of the side chain of the polymer having at least the two groups expressed by formula I or II as the side chain and is prepd. to 20-200 acid value and the compd. expressed by formula III. In formulas I, II, A denotes an aryl group, substd. aryl group, etc.; B denotes an alkoxy group, aryl group, etc.; X denotes H, CN, etc., Y denotes H, CH, etc., (n) denotes 0 or 1 integer. The easy development with the alkaline water is thereby permitted and the sensitivity and workability are improved. The image having good image quality is thus reproduced. |
