PURPOSE:To easily bring the reflected light quantity to a variable attenuation so that a characteristic deterioration of light can be measured, by a simple structure, by reflecting a branch light and generating a reflected return light. CONSTITUTION:A part of an incident light of an optical fiber 2a transmits through a half mirror 2a-1 and travels straight, goes into an optical fiber 2b, and a part thereof is reflected and allowed to branch, and emitted in the air. This branch light is reflected by a reflecting mirror 3b-1 and returned to the half mirror 2a-1, and a reflected return light is generated and allowed to retrograde to the optical fiber 2a. In this case, when the reflecting mirror 3b-1 is turned around the half mirror 2a-1, the reflecting mirror 3b-1 is inclined against an optical axis of the branch light, therefore, in accordance with the inclination quantity, a part of the branch light can be brought to a variable attenuation to an arbitrary light quantity. In such a way, an optical connector containing a compact reflected light quantity variable generating device is obtained by a simple structure. |
