PURPOSE:To obtain a headrest foam body, which has different hardnesses locally and the contact feel of which is soft and in the surface of which wrinkles, flexure and the like do not easily develop, by a method wherein the interior of a mold cavity is partitioned with a core and a partition film and, after that, raw foaming materials are respectively poured in the partitioned cavities so as to expand the foaming materials. CONSTITUTION:Split molds 10 and 12 have a cavity 14 for a headrest within them, while a core 22 is arranged within the cavity 14. The core 22 forms a first cavity 14a having a predetermined shape within the cavity being formed after the closing of the split molds 10 and 12. Next, a partition film 24 is disposed in tension onto the surface of the core 22 on its first cavity 14a side. After that, first raw foaming material 26a is poured in the first cavity 14a. Next, the core 22 is removed so as to form a second cavity 14b in place of the space, which has been occupied by the core 22 so far. A second raw foaming material 28a is poured in the second cavity 14b. The poured second raw foaming material 28a expands in the second cavity 14b with no impregnation into the first foam 26, since the second cavity 14b is perfectly partitioned by the partition film 24, resulting in forming a second foam 28 having a predetermined shape. Simultaneously with the foam molding of the foam 28, the second foam 24 bonds to the partition film 24 due to its self-bonding properties, resulting in being made into an integral body together with the first foam 26. |
