PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a base and silver halide emulsion layer coated thereon by incorporating a polymer having active methylene groups into an under coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The polymer to be used for the under coating layer is a polymer which has at least >=2 active methylene groups in the same molecule and has >=1,000 and <=1,000,000mol.wt., more preferably >=5,000 and <=200,000mol.wt. (number average mol.wt.). The monomer forming the polymer contg. the active methylene group is preferably used at >=10mol.%. All of the monolymers to be used generally for synthesizing latex are usable as the monomer to be copolymerized with said monomer. The adhesiveness of the polyester film base is thereby intensified. |
