PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive compsn. which has high sensitivity and permits development with alkaline water by incorporating a photocrosslinkable polymer which is soluble in the alkaline water and contains a photodimerizable group of a cinnamate type and alkali soluble carboxylic acid group at the side chain into said compsn. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. contains the photocrosslinkable polymer which is added with active mercaptocarboxylic acid in part of the carbon-carbon unsatd. bond of the side chain of the polymer having at least the two groups expressed by formula I or II as the side chain and is prepd to 20-200 acid value. In formulas I, II, A denotes an aryl group, substd. aryl group, etc.; B denotes an alkoxy group, aryl group, etc.; X denotes H, CN, halogen atom, phenyl group, alkyl group, etc.; Y denotes H, CN, halogen atom, phenyl group or alkyl group; (n) denotes 0 or 1 integer. Easy development with the alkaline water is thereby permitted and the image having the good image quality is reproduced. |
