PURPOSE:To form leatherlike surface having visually and tactually suedelike feeling, by coating a mixture compounded with leather powder on the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION:Leatherlike surface having visually and tactually suedelike feeling is formed by coating a mixture compounded with leather powder on the surface of a base material. The mixture is a paint or a compound prepd. by compounding epoxy paint, etc. with leather powder of cattle or swine and other pigment, etc. wherein 5-200pts.wt. leather powder is compounded per 100pts.wt. paint. By this constitution, leatherlike surface having suedelike feeling is prepd. easily and inexpensively with a common coating device without requiring any exclusive device. Moreover, uniform suedelike feeling is obtd. and the product is produced in bulk conveniently.
