PURPOSE:To form coating film having an almost fixed thickness on the inside surface of an existing pipe, by adding a large amt. of scaly filler to a liquid resin and mixing both uniformly, and imparting thixotropic property thereto by adding further a thixotropic agent. CONSTITUTION:A lining resin A is prepd. by adding a large amt. of scaly filler S (e.g. scaly Al) to a liquid resin such as epoxy resin in a specified proportion (e.g. 5-40pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. resin), and mixing almost uniformly by kneading. Further, a specified amt. (e.g. 4pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. resin) of a thixotropic agent is added in order to impart thixotropic property thereto. The resin A is introduced into a pipe in an existing pipeline 1, and fluidized by a static force while holding the fluidizing velocity of the resin at a fixed value. The resin is left on the pipe surface by the adhesive force to the wall surface of the pipe while the resin is fluidized contacting with the internal surface of the pipe, and a coating film having an almost fixed thickness is formed on the inside surface of the pipe from the remaining resin.
