In order to provide bags with a valve in series production in short cycle times, - a conveying device (1) is provided for the cyclic transporting of bag blanks (4) transversely to their longitudinal direction (5), - a clamping jaw (19, 20), which can be moved towards the conveying plane (16) and away from the latter, is provided on the frame on each side of the conveying plane (6) of the bag blanks (4), - a swivel arm (23, 24) is arranged on each of the clamping jaws (19, 20), which swivel arm can be directed from a position approximately perpendicular to the conveying plane (16) almost into the direction of the conveying plane (19) and vice versa by means of a swivel drive (26) and whose swivel axis (25) lies parallel to the conveying direction (6), and - a spreading finger (30, 31) is linked to each swivel arm (23, 24), which spreading finger is rotatable relative to the swivel arm (23, 24) and whose axis of rotation (32) lies perpendicular to the conveying direction (6) of the conveying device (1) and perpendicular to the direction of the swivel arm (23, 24), each spreading finger being rotatable by means of a drive into a position (D) which is inclined by about 45@ relative to the conveying direction (6) (Figure 2). <IMAGE> |
