PURPOSE:To form an image with a stable image density even when the light quantity does not reach a prescribed original exposure light quantity, by controlling a developing bias voltage applied to a developing means is accordance with the difference between a light quantity detecting signal outputted from a light quantity detecting means and an objective light quantity value set in advance. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a light quantity detecting means, that is, a photodiode 2 detecting the quantity of light radiated from a fluorescent lamp 1 and outputting an electric signal corresponding to the detected light quantity. A controller 4 derives the difference between a reference light quantity and the light quantity radiated from the fluorescent lamp 1 and applies a developing bias voltage for which a correction is performed in accordance with the derived difference, to a developing sleeve 6 through a high voltage transformer 5. In such a way, even when the light quantity radiated from an image exposing means does not reach a prescribed original exposure light quantity, an original exposure scan can be executed without adding a special means, and also, the image can be formed by the stable image density. |
