NEW MATERIAL:A cationomycin derivative expressed by formula I (R is formula II, formula III, formula IV or formula V). USE:An anticoccidium agent, exhibiting drug action as same as or more than that of cationomycin to coccidium of domestic fowls and exhibiting no toxicity and side effects. The agent is preferably administered directly or as a mixture of the agent and feed. PREPARATION:Deacylcationomycin sodium salt is dissolvet in a proper solvent such as dimethyl formamide, etc., and reacted in the presence of an acid such as anisic acid, 3,5-dibromosalicylic acid or active esterifying agent such as dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, dimethylaminopyridine, etc., at -78-100 deg.C, preferably at about room temperature for 30min-100hr, preferably for 30min-48hr in order to carry out acylation to provide the acylated derivative expressed by formula I.
