NEW MATERIAL:Neplanocin F expressed by formula I. USE:The above-mentioned compound has pharmacological effect and is useful as an antithrombotic agent and further an intermediate for purine compound having pharmacological action. PREPARATION:Ampullariella.espi A11079 (FERM P-4494) which is neplanocin F-producing fungus is cultivated im a culture medium and the aimed compound is obtained from the cultivated product. The above-mentioned neplanocin F- producing actinomyces is separated from a soil of leek field in Myokoukougen- Chou Nakakubishiro-Gun Niigata prefecture. Neplanocin F has the following pysicochemical properties: Weakly basic and white needle crystal; melting point, 223 deg.C (decomposed); optical rotation [alpha]D<21>=-6.6 (C=0.8%, H2O); solubility, soluble in water, dimethylsulfoxide and acetic acid and insoluble in ethyl acetate, chloroform, benzene, etc.; color reaction, positive to potassium permanganate decolor reaction and negative to ferric chloride reaction, ninhydrin reaction and Fehling's reaction. |
