PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a base and silver halide emulsion layer coated thereon by incorporating a polymer having groups reacting with gelatin into an under coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The polymer to be used for the under coating layer is a polymer which has at least >=2 groups for reacting with the gelatin in the same molecule and has >=1,000mol.wt. (number average mol.wt.). The groups for reacting with the gelatin are exemplified by an aldehyde group, epoxy group, active halide group (dichlorotriazine, etc.), active vinyl group, active ester group, etc. The adhesiveness of the polyester film base is thereby improved. |
