发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily mass-produce an orienting layer with a desired pretilt angle in a short time and to obtain a display device which has superior characteristics by forming projections and recesses for orientation of particulates on the orienting layer which has the particulate layer of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:A couple of substrates 10 and 20 of the liquid crystal display device are arranged opposite each other at an interval and an electrode layer 41 and the orienting layer 51 are arranged on the inside surface of the support plate 11 of one substrate 10. Further, an electrode layer 42 and an orienting layer 52 are arranged on the inside surface of the support plate of the other substrate 20, the orienting films 51 and 52 have particulate layers 92, and projections and recesses for orientation are formed of particulates 94 on their internal surfaces. The mean particle size of the particulates 94 which constitute the particulate layer 92 is set to <=1mum. Then, the space between the substrates 10 and 20 is sealed with a seal part 30 to constitute a liquid crystal cell, plural spacers 60 are arranged in the liquid crystal at intervals, and a liquid crystal composing material is charged to form a liquid crystal composite layer C, thereby producing the liquid crystal display device with superior characteristics efficiently.
