PURPOSE:To simplify the preset operation of a desired selection frequency into a memory by using the scan mode in the electronic tuner. CONSTITUTION:In sweeping a reception frequency to detect a broadcast wave of a prescribed level or over, the frequency stays at the frequency for a prescribed and then the sweeping is restarted. In such a preset system for the electronic tuner, the scan mode is started in depressing a key (SCAN) 44' and not released without re-depression. Then a memory key (M) 42 or a channel selection key (1, 2...) 41 is depressed during the sweep stop of the scan mode (during broadcast reception) to store the received frequency for the time into a corresponding memory and the sweep is restarted just after the end of storage by programming, then plural stations are preset in a short time by a few key operation number of times and the processing above requires only a few addition of the software and no hardware addition is required.
